Since December 2003 Portmade is a partner of Belgacom (the Belgian communication provider) for their connections between the various offices in Belgium and The Netherlands by means of the EXPLORE solution.

For their outside connections Portmade made arrangements with PORTHUS for all EDIFACT, XML and email interchange with clients, operators and Authorities.

By means of this solution, Portmade is ONE VIRTUAL OFFICE with the advantage that peak volumes can be leveled over the various offices with an optimal use of personnel and guaranteed service towards the clients as a result.

Making optimal use of the EXPLORE connection, Portmade invested in a Disaster Recover Plan, by which continuity of activities is guaranteed 24/24 – 7/7. If any disaster happens at or in the neighborhood of one of the Portmade offices, all activities are taken over by the other offices. Even faxed and mailed instructions are automatically being relayed to other PM offices.

The Helpdesk enables the clients of Portmade to anticipate after office hours on ad-hoc situations in Antwerp, Liège, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam.
